Examine your actions, examine what your choices say abort you. Do your actions align with your values? Do you have values and set goals? Either of these questions can pose uncomfortable answers. If you find your actions not aligning with your values, figuring it out is the first step to changing that. However, if you find that you don’t have a set of values and ambitions that drives your decisions, this is the first step to working on discovering them, so that you can align them with everything that you do.
“To what service is my soul committed? Constantly ask yourself this and thoroughly examine yourself by seeing how you relate to that part called the ruling principle. Whose soul do I have now? Do I have that of a child, a youth . . . a tyrant, a pet, or a wild animal?”↩
